1. Introduction

iBus.lk is an online bus and van booking platform in Sri Lanka that allows users to search, book, and manage travel tickets digitally. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Account Creation & Login System

Users do not need to manually register an account
An account is automatically created using your mobile number during your first booking or login
Login is verified using SMS OTP (One-Time Password)
Email is optional and used only for booking confirmations and updates
Each mobile number represents a single user account

3. Booking System

Users or agents can book tickets for buses or vans through the platform
Seat or vehicle selection is required during booking
A confirmed booking automatically generates a user account if one does not exist
Ticket confirmation is sent via SMS and optionally via email

4. Ticket Validity

Tickets are valid only for the selected route, date, time, and vehicle
Users must present a digital or printed ticket during boarding
Boarding is allowed only for confirmed bookings

5. Payments

Payments are accepted via debit card, credit card, and supported online payment methods
All payments are processed in LKR
A service fee may apply per booking
Transactions are processed through secure payment gateways

6. Wallet System

Every user account includes an iBus.lk Wallet
Refunds are credited to the wallet unless otherwise stated
Wallet balance can only be used for bookings on iBus.lk
Wallet funds are non-withdrawable and non-transferable unless explicitly allowed
Wallet is automatically created when the user first books or registers via mobile number

7. Agent Bookings

Agents also create bookings using mobile-based accounts
Agent bookings are managed under the same system but may follow separate refund rules
Refunds for agent bookings may not be credited to wallet and must follow agent settlement rules

8. Limitations of Responsibility

iBus.lk is not responsible for:

Delays, cancellations, or changes made by operators
Staff behavior or service quality
Loss or damage of luggage
Route or schedule modifications by transport providers

9. Communication

Users agree to receive SMS notifications for booking updates and OTP verification
Email communication is optional
We may send service-related alerts or updates via SMS or WhatsApp

10. User Conduct

Users must not misuse the platform for fraud, illegal activity, or system abuse.

11. Changes to Terms

iBus.lk may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the platform.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
